Book Fair 2017: budget will be raised by 500%

The budget of the 33rd edition of the Tunis International Book Fair 2017, scheduled for March 24-April 2, 2017 at the Kram Exhibition Centre, will be raised by 500%, announced Director of the event Chokri Mabkhout.

"The increase in the budget of the fair was decided in consultation with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to ensure a better organisation of this important event," he said at a consultation meeting ahead of the Fair held, Saturday.

Mabkhout, who is the only Tunisian and Maghreb author to be included in the New York Times ranking of the five rising stars of the Middle East and North Africa Regions in the aftermath of the Arab Spring.
