Lavrov plans to discuss with US secretary of state situation in Ukraine

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov intends discussing Ukraine and other international issues during a soon contact, planned with the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
While commenting on the situation in Ukraine, Lavrov stressed he did not see an alternative to the Minsk Complex of Measures, which is also confirmed by the Russian counterparts in Europe and in the U.S.
"Europeans and, I hope, Americans confirm it. I am saying - I hope, because as yet the U.S. team, which will be dealing with Ukraine, has not been formed," he said in an interview with NTV on Sunday.
"In near time, I am most probable to have a contact with the new US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and we, of course, will discuss these (issues related to Ukraine - TASS) and other major topics on the international agenda, as well as aspects of our bilateral relations," he said.
"I hope, the not too strong sprouts of understanding about what is really happening in Ukraine’s east would be developing," he said.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov confirmed to TASS Russia hopes to use upcoming international forums to have contacts with the U.S. representatives. The ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said about a possible meeting between Lavrov and Tillerson in Bonn.
On February 16-17, Lavrov will participate in the meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Bonn, and on February 17-19 - in the annual Munich Security Conference.
Russian Foreign Ministry waits for key appointments to Department of State to continue dialogue
Moscow is waiting for key appointments to the US Department of State to continue the dialogue with Washington on numberous international issues, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"(The US Secretary of State) Rex Tillerson was appointed a couple of weeks ago," he said. "We have contacts with those who not at the Department of State support for the working mode. But key deputies to Rex Tillerson have not been appointed yet, and key directions of the foreign policy still have not been identified.".

Lavrov is adamant coordination between the Russian and US military will begin taking shape as soon as conditions allow.
"I am adamant, Donald Trump is absolutely sincere as every time he confirms the intention to defeat IS (outlawed in Russia)," the minister said. "We are ready to cooperate with him."
"As soon as conditions allow, I am confident, cooperation and coordination between the military will begin taking shape again," he said
